First launched in Spring 2021, the Grand Designs range has been shortlisted for it’s sustainability at the BELLAS 2022
We are delighted that our retail partner, DFS, have been shortlisted for The Sustainability Brand Licensed Product or Range Award for the innovative Grand Designs upholstered furniture range at the prestigious The Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards (B&LLA). This new award recognises and rewards a brand licensed products/range’s credentials on the sustainability front.
The Grand Designs furniture collection was launched exclusively with DFS in Spring 2021, in partnership with The Branded Furniture Company, and comprised of 3 innovatively designed sofas ranges, with a further 3 beds launching in March 2022, each made of ethically sourced and sustainable materials, including fabrics compromising of yarns made up from recycled plastic bottles. BAFTA award winning, Grand Designs is the UK’s most loved property programme and is widely recognisable as the pre-eminent series on modern architecture and design in Britain. At the heart of the Grand Designs sofa range sits a grand ambition; to create product that are stylish, super comfy and beautifully made from innovative and sustainable materials.
The Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards reward excellence in product innovation, brand licensing management as well as retail execution within the ever-evolving brand and lifestyle licensing arena.
Launched in 2016, The B&LLAs gives an opportunity for the brand and lifestyle licensing and retail sector an opportunity to be recognised and rewarded separately to the massive character and entertainment licensing sector which is covered by The UK Licensing Awards in September.
They are owned and organised by Max Publishing which has a pedigree in licensing with The UK Licensing Awards, The Licensing Source Book and licensingsource.net
Some of the biggest names in brands and retail will be at the awards, including The Natural History Museum, Del Monte, English Heritage, Gordon Ramsey, Hotel Chocolat, TGI Fridays and many more.
